You probably don’t know his name, shame on you. But you know his music: Duran Duran’s “The Reflex,” Madonna’s “Like a Virgin,” Chic’s “Good Times” and Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family.” And if you don’t know those tunes and those acts, shame on me for posting this. Rodgers’ autobiography goes through his rough live as a native New Yorker and talks about the drugs, the music, the camaraderie and abrupt passing of Chic partner Bernard Edwards, the near-death experiences and briefly talks about his latest battle with cancer. Very well-written, as if the dude’s in your living room talking to you.
