Remastered Beatles Catalog Returns to the World of Vinyl
Beatles for sale again; 2012 vinyl remastered reissues will get the 180-gram quality treatment
Remastered in 2009 for CD and released in digital form on iTunes in 2010, the entire Beatles’ catalog of albums will make their long-awaited stereo vinyl debut on November 12, 2012 in the UK and November 13, 2012 in the US.
According to a press statement presented at the Beatles’ official website, each of the twelve albums – also including Magical Mystery Tour and the Past Masters releases – will be manufactured on 180-gram, audiophile quality vinyl with replica artwork and covers. And just as hardcore fans wanted: All reproductions will include the bonus rarities of the originals that came with it, including the poster inside the White Album, the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band’s cutouts and special bags for some of the titles. A 12”x12”, 252-page hardbound book penned by radio producer Kevin Howlett focusing on each of the albums will be packaged with the exclusive box set, retailed at the list price of $449.00. Sale prices are slated to go for $399.99. 50,000 copies of the box set are slated to be produced.
In 2013, the remastered Beatles’ catalog will make their first mono vinyl debuts.
