The 40th Anniversary Box Set
The Tom Moulton Remixes
In honor of Philadelphia International Records’ 40th anniversary, the good folks at UK’s Harmless hired mix king Tom Moulton to oversee another ambitious mix experiment containing some of the label’s previously-released mixes and some of his recent modern-day mixes. New liner notes, 31 tracks including long versions of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes’s “Don’t Leave Me This Way,” the Three Degrees’s “Dirty Ol’ Man” and a new mix of O’Jays’s “This Time Baby” are all enclosed. For those hungry for more, get your hands on the ten-disc Anniversary box set. Retail price: $26-$100
