HiFi’s Holiday Guide 2012
Led Zeppelin
Celebration Day (Deluxe Edition 2 CD, 1 Blu-Ray, 1 DVD)
The history books will remember December 10, 2007 as the last time the original living members of Led Zeppelin performed on stage. Billed as Celebration Day (named after their 1970 song), the big finale was originally dedicated to the memory of Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun, who passed away in 2006. For a bunch of old Brits, these guys rocked the O2 stage with high energy, performing a full-length concert featuring sixteen of their hits. Never mind all the cell phone magic used in the crowd, the real show is on the stage, where the excellent vocals of shaggy-haired Robert Plant and Jimmy Page’s guitar riffs left everyone with a “whole lotta love.” Archivists will plunge deep into the hearty deluxe edition – featuring two CDs and one DVD or Blu-Ray copy of the concert. Retail price: $34
