Trick or treat: Pop stars show off their Halloween spirit

Some of pop music’s biggest stars showed off their Halloween garb this month.

Here’s the ones that caught our eye.

Of course, the biggest stinker this year comes from Julianne Hough and her blackface attempt of dressing up as Crazy Eyes off of the Netflix comedy, Orange Is The New Black. She has since apologized for the snafu, even though many of those close to her – including stars on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ – were quick to defend her. Her brother, pro dancer Derek Hough, said that it “wasn’t her brightest moment.”

But that had nothing on the wickedly racist selfie that shows three college-age teens showing off blackface with their Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman getup. The picture went viral last weekend  totally offensive, upsetting plenty across all aisles. “As a nation that claims to be so full of diversity and unity, race is still an raging issue,”wrote one iReporter. “So I ask when you look at this photo that you put race a side [sic], and focus on the lack of respect for not only human life but a child’s life.”

So what do you think?
Should black face not be used at all…even for Halloween?
Did Julianne Hough go too far?
What musical artist should win Best Dressed Costume this year?
