Fresh off the heels of releasing her first career album Lovestrong, Perri releases her first holiday disc, a very short one. The good news: She offers a careful take on Karen Carpenter’s “Merry Christmas, Darling.” Now for the avalanche of bad news: This album is stuffed with bah ham bug. Not one uptempo track on this EP is present to crash the never-ending melancholy. Simply put, there’s nothing “merry” about this Christmas.
