Talented Brit proves he’s got the “X-Factor” with series of covers on YouTube

I have no real history of this guy or if he’s even jumped into the music studio to record an album. Many times, we in the States are ignorant of what’s happening in the UK because of that Atlantic divide. But thanks to that wonderful online outlet called YouTube, we can grow closer. With a few videos at his personal YouTube channel, Daniel De Bourg is definitely proving himself to be a refreshing underground sensation with a love for breathy pop, adult R&B and sexy hip-hop. He’s already tackled a share of recent hits as diverse as Bruno Mars’s “Just The Way You Are,” Trey Songz “Can’t Be Friends” and Cee Lo Green’s “F*** You.” His approach to classics are also worth noting, like the delicious cover of Prince’s 1989 hit “If I Was Your Girlfriend” (included here). His falsetto is enough to make you think Robin Thicke has asthma. Get to know the young lad before he explodes into the big time. He should be getting that telephone ring from Stargate right about…now.
