New Posthumous Album by Michael Jackson Drops in May
Attention MJ fans: New music is expected to hit shelves this May
Fans of the late King of Pop are expected to get a sugar rush this May when Epic Records in collaboration with Michael Jackson‘s estate plans to roll out an eight-track collection of previously unreleased tracks on May 13.
L.A. Reid, the project’s executive producer and label CEO, is responsible for pulling out the vault tracks and giving them the contemporary face lifts they need. Producers including Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins, Stargate and Jerome “Jroc” Harmon have all been summoned to the table to help update the tracks. Theoretically, one will speculate on the quality of the sourced material. Ears will get a chance to hear those original sources on the deluxe edition of the disc. Both deluxe editions and standard editions will be available for pre-orders on April 1 on iTunes and at other digital stores.
More information on the track listing will be announced at a later date. But what can be confirmed is that the album title, Xscape, is actually the name of one of the album tracks.
