Husband-and-wife team Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi is still going strong, something that isn’t so successful in the world of rock. Sure, Paul & Linda did it, so did Leon Russell & Mary, but you see where that ended up. But Trucks/Tedeschi seems like a rare breed. When they are performing live, they seem to enjoy what they are doing as a team, and their love for Americana soul keeps them on the yellow brick road. The Grammy-winning Revelator (2011) was hard to shake from the world of critics, and their studio follow-up, Made Up Mind, could very well be the next best thing for them.
