Maroon 5 leader lands cover story of Paper and has alot to say about marriage and new direction of music

Seems like America has a growing hard-on for Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine.

On his own, the guy has morphed into a superstar. And although he’s been enjoying an excellent run as a solo act (judge on NBC’s hit show The Voice, singing on Top 40 hits like Gym Glass Heroes’ "Stereo”), he openly reveals he’s committed to the band, the band he’s been performing and recording with for ten years straight.

He reveals that bit of detail in the latest issue of Paper Magazine (now on shelves). The cover story also reveals Levine’s views on marriage (“I’m extremely fascinated by marriage,” he says). It’s something he’s considered but claims he’s still trying to figure out (“I want to learn about it…I’m not just going to leap into it, because that’s not good for anybody.”). Ladies (and gents), Levine is currently living single, after his breakup with Russian supermodel Anne V last month.

The Paper article also briefly discusses the new Maroon 5 album, Overexposed, and why the album is expected to go in a obvious different path from their preceding records.

“We were thinking to ourselves,’Are we making a pop record? Or are we making a rock record?,” claims Levine. He adds: “And this was more of a song-by-song basis. It was kind of a cool collage on this record.”

Superb photography accredited to Dan Monick.
