Hey “Uptown Funk” Fans, There’s a New No. 1 Song in Town
There’s a new sheriff in town. Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” now reigns the Hot 100
The reign at the top seems to be over for the Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars‘ mega-smash hit “Uptown Funk.”
The song, which now ties as the second longest ruler in the Hot 100’s history with eleven weeks at No. 1, has just been misplaced by Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again.” It leaped 10-1, making it the biggest jump on the chart since “Uptown Funk.” Ronson’s song currently sits at number two on the Hot 100.
Singing the song’s hook is Charlie Puth, an up-and-coming vocalist who was first discovered on YouTube and has only netted one song credit in his solo career with his debut single “Marvin Gaye” with Meghan Trainor. This is Puth’s first No. 1 hit and second one for Khalifa. In 2010, “Black and Yellow” went to number one.

The moving song is featured on the motion picture soundtrack, Furious 7, which is an emotional tribute to the late Paul Walker, who died in a single-car accident in 2013. Leading up to Khalifa’s newly-minted No. 1 hit, film co-star Vin Diesel broke into a little sing-a-long of “See You Again” at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards.
“Again” is also making impact on the Digital Songs, Streaming Songs and On-Demand Songs chart where it sit at No. 1.
