As the opening track for Voices, the Oates-only composition sways with the grit and tenacity of a John Mellencamp piece. Oates carries the solo by showing off his youthful, yet slightly coarse pipes. Although the song’s chorus becomes quite repetitive, G.E. Smith’s guitar riffs and the duo’s tightly-knitted harmonies makes up for its weaknesses.
