The Temptations on breezy New Wave riffs – that’s the best way of describing this underrated gem from the band’s 1981 LP, Private Eyes. “Your Imagination” shows off a digitally-enhanced display of harmony stacking, giving off the perception that the pair was of the Temptation dynasty. Along with its recurring slick melodic overtones comes a fierce sax solo from Charles DeChant that seems to emulate the magic of Junior Walker.
