Here Wonder proves his genius powers are still in his posession, even as he approaches the thirty-year mark of Innervisions. A genuine love ballad that makes “I Was Called to Say I Love You” seem incomplete. And even if he sings about a fairy tale romance and overused cliches in an almost gloomy reality, he still sounds believable (“Forever is a long long time, but so what”).
