“You Will Know”
(Motown; 1987)
from the album Skeletons
In the ghoulish afterworld of “Living for the City,” Wonder culls out a realistic inspirational ditty that points the brokenhearted, druggies, single parents and the forgotten in the right direction: “You will know/Lonely heart you’ll know/Every life has reason/For I made it so.” In this case, the “I” is the voice of the Big Man upstairs.
