Super comeback reunion tour in the works for Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block for 2011

Posing for yet another comeback?

After the 2008 release of the reunion album The Block from ’90’s pop-tart boy band New Kids on the Block, it seemed as if the excitement of their heyday dried out. Certainly fans remained faithful to their release; earning the “boys” a gold-certified record. But they aren’t through with milking the record’s success as of yet.

According to an official announcment made by The Kids, they are expected to hit the road in Summer 2011 – co-headlining with the Backstreet Boys. The joint venture was announced via their joint website (NKOTBSB) and after spearheading a successful marketing/publicity tour on The Ryan Seacrest Show and Oprah, it looks like Summer 2011 will earn them all that much needed comeback.

The last album release from the Backstreet Boys was This is Us;  released in September 2009. No official word from either group on plans to re-enter the studio to record any new material.

By the way, we love the collab photo spread. Nothing beats two boy bands joining up to make a boy army. Screaming fans, make sure you download the super-sized version for wallpaper purposes. Perfect memento.
