The beloved Foo Fighter is rockin’ Chelsea Lately for a one-week stint

Why did I JUST get word of this?

Not really sure. But I read that Dave Grohl filled in for Chelsea before.

Although I’m not a big fan of Chelsea Lately and hardly watch anything on the E! network, they have me interested now.

The Foo Fighter filled in for Chelsea Handler who’s out for the week, and has been a damn good job as host. Already this week, he sat down with rapper Nas to talk about hip-hop’s desperate need to beef among other things. He’s sung a public domain with ’80’s rock-pop sensation Rick Springfield (remember “Jessie’s Girl”? ), which went absolutely bananas. And his sit-down chats with his random panel of guest comedians has been off the chain. The bit on Justin Bieber and Britney Spears? Too much laughter, I tell ya.

Must say, although we don’t want Grohl to give up his day job even while the Foos are on a bit of a hiatus, we wouldn’t mind him having his own talk show in the future. MTV, are you reading this?

Grohl, the former drummer of Nirvana, is also cooking up a new side project with Sound City Players, which includes A-list rock stars including Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty and Rick Springfield. The group was formed while filming a documentary on the famous Sound City studio, which Grohl is also directing.
