Beyoncé Parts Ways With Father Mathew Knowles As Manager
Beyoncé drops Mathew Knowles as her manager. We have the possible reasons.
Superstar icon Beyoncé is ending her work relationship with her father, Mathew Knowles, as manager. Although sources claim he’s not a happy camper over her departure, Beyoncé is moving forward.
Beyoncé Knowles, 29, spoke briefly to the public about the split, according to Chicago Sun-Times. “I’ve only parted ways with my father on a business level. He is my father for life and I love my dad dearly. I am grateful for everything he has taught me.”
The Chicago Sun-Times also reported that the split ended in a “not-so-pleasant” manner and that her decision was made partly because of of Mathew’s destructive deicision-making in his personal life, including his affair on Beyonc’és mother, Tina Knowles, and the paternity test revealing Mathew had fathered a child with a mistress. A source close to Beyoncé stated that her performance for Libyan dictator Mo-ammor Qaddafi was “just the final nail in the coffin.”
In a press statement released early this week, Music World Entertainment and Music World Gospel president Mathew Knowles announced he will focus his attention on the gospel division of his company. “The decision for Beyoncé and Music World Entertainment to part was mutual,” he said. “We did great things together, and I know that she will continue to conquer new territories in music and entertainment. Currently, I am very focused on the tremendous investment that our record label has made in the gospel/inspirational genre of music and on our supremely talented roster of artists, including Trin-i-tee 5:7, Brian Courtney Wilson, Juanita Bynum, Micah Stampley, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Pastor Rudy and others.”
In closing, Beyonce’s father stated that “business is business and family is family. I love my daughter and am very proud of who she is and all that she has achieved.”
As manager, Knowles was responsible for in piecing Destiny’s Child together and was instrumental in the pop/R&B group’s success. He continued to watch over Beyoncé Knowles’ solo career, along with Destiny’s Child members after their split.
