Rihanna Is Tired of Talking About 2009 Assault
Rihanna “annoyed” and expresses disdain over being constantly questioned by media about 2009 assault; hopes to move on
Right now, Rihanna is on top of her game. With four hit singles in 2010, the R&B/pop sensation singer seems to have recovered immensely from her highly-publicized 2009 assault from ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. But she’s tired of talking about the abuse surrounding Brown and has voices through a series of Tweets, via Twitter, that even though the message to curb abuse is important, she’s tired of being portrayed as being “spiteful” and “bitter.”
The whole conversation mushroomed after a concerned fan asked Rihanna to stop talking about the incident in interviews – adding, “How r people gonna move on?”
“AGREED!” Rihanna wrote. “People won’t stop asking about it! It’s fuckin’ annoying! Nobody wants to relive that, but some ppl can’t respect that!
“I get it,” she added, in a following post. “They wanna raise awareness to young girls! But it ends up just making me look bitter, pitiful, spiteful and angry!”
Chris Brown concurred. He responded on Sunday, to his fans, as well as to Rihanna’s Twitter fanbase; hoping to send a message to media and curious fans by quelling the story down.
“Y’all starting to sound extremely childish! #teambreezy and #rihannanavy, it’s pointless,” he wrote. “Love team breezy & thank you rihannanavy for supporting ya girl.”
