Cheerios Spoof Aims at the “Haters”
Comedic ‘Cheerios’ spoof shines light on America’s raging bulge for intolerance
The cute 30-second commercial for the popular breakfast cereal showing a lovely biracial family was targeted by droves of Stone Age racists a few weeks ago, spurring General Mills to disable the comments section on its YouTube page. Now, a spoof created by Kenji America has been generated to counterattack the “haters.” And we must say it’s pretty adorable, and comes with a mighty punchline.
Regardless of what, “haters” are gonna hate. That’s just what they do. So far, the original commercial has acquired over 3 million views with over 44,000 “likes” and 2,124 “dislikes.”
