T.I. Is “Mother F***ing Tired” Of Prison Life

Posted November 21, 2010 by J Matthew Cobb in News

Rap ‘king’ now feeling the pressure serving time for recent drug possession while on probation.

If T.I.could borrow the words from Cee Lo Green’s viral smash hit, he would slightly edited them into saying, “f*** jail.”

In a recent letter posted on his web site Thursday, the rap star opens up about his aggravation of jail life:

“This experience is truly a pain I have never felt before and that’s saying a lot for a n—a who’s been down locked up as many times as I have. I don’t know what effect this will have on my life moving forward but I’m certainly sick and mother f*cking tired of going to jail, juve, prison, the pen, correctional facilities or whatever else you want to call it.” (RollingStone)

It has been a grueling and troubling couple of months for T.I. Five months after being released from prison after being convicted for weapon possession, the emcee was arrested, along with his wife Takeka “Tiny” Cottle, in September. This time, for drug possession – a violation that went against his parole. He must know complete a 11-month sentence before release.

T.I. is now feeling the pinch of jail life and takes full responsibility for his past mistakes, even though the absence of a positive father figure as a child seems to be a troubling spot for his maturity.

“A lot of folks had fathers or father figures in the house to raise them into manhood. I’m not trying to make any excuses for my situation but my father was a hustler that lived in New York. … My mother and grandparents did the best they could but I found my manhood in the trap and in prison systems. But I found it. And nan one of mine will ever have to feel the cold tight grip of a handcuff or grace the presence of a jail cell if I can help it.”

His forthcoming project No Mercy, originally titled as King Uncaged, will feature all-new music from the embattled hip-hop star and is expected to be released on December 7.
