John Legend fixes his eyes on Adele’s rootsy hit, turning it into a spiritual
R&B crooner John Legend loves the rich textures of gospel. It’s no surprise to hear him using Fairfield Four harmonics on an acapella version of “Rolling In The Deep.” In Legend’s hands, he takes the disco-blues of Adele’s hit to the cotton fields of the Mississippi. It doesn’t replace the original, but compliments it. Nice effort.
