John Mayer Abandons Twitter, Returning Back to Studio

As his Battle Studies tour wraps up and comes to a close, singer/songwriter John Mayer is also calling it quits with Twitter and will be abandoning over 3.7 million Twitter followers, according to Mayer’s spokeswoman.

An emailed statement says Mayer continues to communicate with fans through his blog, where the singer/songwriter wrote Sunday, “Time to (try to) disappear for a while. Love you guys. A lot.”

Mayer plans to return to the studio to work on next album after the tour ends.
