Monster Mashup: Britney Spears on Rihanna’s “S&M”

This just in: Chains and whips excite Britney as well

Technically, this isn’t a total mash-up. At least to our definitions. The backdrop of the story: Britney Spears teams up with Rihanna on her sexually-charging Spring Break hit (#2 pop, #1 pop songs, #1 dance). The plan is to certainly extend the expiration date for the pop hit well into the summer months. With Spears’ new record, Femme Fatale, it sure give the song a kind of buzz – similar to the cooperative efforts of Lady Gaga and Beyonce on “Telephone.” But nothing inspirational enters into the song’s performance. They both take turns on the verses and the remix traces the same productions of the original. In the end, Rihanna sorta outshines Britney, but it’s her song anyway. Maybe Britney and Rihanna should go on tour together.
