Other than the infamous androgynous album cover and the mega hit “Sara Smile,” Hall & Oates’ RCA debut album revealed a stunner with Oates’ composition, “Camellia.” It rocked like a gentle Steely Dan-Elton John Seventies number sporting a stack of complimentary strings and falsetto-tinged singing on the melodic chorus. Although it was released as a promotional single, “Camellia” failed to chart.
