In this special edition of DAILY DIGEST, we rap about two Justins: one plagued with good news, the other with bad news

Justin-Two of Us

If you haven’t tuned in to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon at all this week, you’ve been missing a whole lot of Justin Timberlake.

After hosting SNL for the fifth time last Saturday, Timberlake decided to set up a temporary residency at Fallon’s late-show headquarters as their star special guest. And it’s not just all about the music. There’s room for laughter as Timberlake jumps into a few skits with the show’s quirky host. He even reprises “Sexy Back” with the “Ragtime Gals” as he turns the familiar hip-hop jam into a geeky barbershop-styled chorus. The outbursts of “Take it to the bridge, take it to the chorus” is hilarious in and of itself.

But if you’re in need of more sexy to satisfy your JT fix, you may want to hop over to iTunes to premiere his new album, The 20/20 Experience. For this week only, you can stream the album in its entirety before you purchase it. (I think that’s what they want you to do.) Last day to do that is Saturday, I think.

We’ve also learned that JT will be landing at SXSW this week, but we have no real concrete evidence of where he will show up. According to the Austin Police Department, it does appears that he will be performing somewhere. They have revealed they will have to increase security to deal with the groupies anxiously awaiting his arrival.

 Justin-fy My Love

This week might have revealed an all-time low for Justin Bieber.

In case you didn’t get the memo from JBN (Justin Bieber Network), the “Baby” singer has since recovered from his birthday blues and so-called fainting spell in London. But he’s now decided to sound the alarm on the media and to all the haters on his Instagram. A few edits took place, including one that went H.A.M. on Lindsay Lohan for some odd reason. We’ll give you the timeline of events for those who are confused to how this story goes.

“Ahhh! Rough morning. Trying to feel better for this show tonight but let the paps get the best of me,” Bieber tweeted last week, addressing the London incident in which he was caught on camera shouting out “f-bombs” and other expletives at a Londo paparazzo.

On Thursday, he ranted on his Instagram account about his “love/hate” relationship with the press, even taking a jab at Lohan, a troubled movie star in which he’s now being compared with.

In a sentence that’s now been deleted from the original post, he wrote “to those comparing me to Lindsey [sic] Lohan look at her 2012 tax statements.” He then goes on boasting about his number One albums – and that he’s successfully earned them before the age of 20.

He’s also going on shirtless tirades. It’s as if he’s becoming the male version of Rihanna. Everytime you turn around, RiRi is showing off her bod candy on her Instagram; the same can be said of Biebz. Things have gotten so bad for the Biebz that actress Olivia Wade decided to weigh in on the “shirtless” story: “Bieber, put your f***ing shirt on,” she tweeted last week. “Unless you lost all your shirts in a fire in which case my condolences and please purchase a new shirt.”

Wade responded to the backlash she’s been getting from Biebz supporters on Jay Leno’s Tonight show. When asked how many responded to her tweet, she replied, “35 million people. One of them was “Are you a lesbian or are you too old?” Another favorite of Wilde’s: “‘Bitch’ – that’s me! — “‘You’re not his mother'”

The scary part about Bieber’s meltdown is that even conservative watchdog FOX News is now questioning Bieber’s reactions. In a story published today (Is Justin Bieber’s bizare behavior a sign of something more?), analysts are believing the young pop star is producing his own failures. “Justin Bieber’s toxic behavior is the result of too much too soon,” New York publicist Elissa Butcher said. “Although he is in a very adult world, he has been granted unlimited access to anything he wants and is surrounded by ‘yes men’ who validate his behavior.” Betafish Music founder Jed Smith added that his fainting spell is an obvious warning signal that “something is amiss” and calls Bieber’s behavior “unremarkably brattish.”

At the present moment, 413,000 yes-men (including women) have liked his Instagram rant.
